Welcome to the CALBO website and thank you for visiting!

The website is a great way to see what’s going on with CALBO. Our board, policy committees and staff continually strive to keep the information fresh, relevant and engaging. I hope you’ll take the time to familiarize yourself with our available online resources.

During the coming year, the economy is clearly what will be on all of our minds. Construction activity and associated revenue streams are down, our budgets are tighter than usual, and more is required of us as we seek to keep the built environment safe, accessible and sustainable. Over the next several years, our cities and counties will undergo a fundamental shift in how we serve our communities. While our role in ensuring building safety, accessibility and sustainability is clear, the challenge will be in the way we accomplish this role.

With this challenge comes opportunity! We have a chance to evolve our services and expand our capabilities. I encourage you to take a leadership role in making the most of this opportunity. Your community and your profession will benefit greatly from your expertise and commitment. As always, you can rely on CALBO to provide the support and training necessary to help you along the way.
