Welcome to CALBO’s website. I am pleased that you took the time to peruse the website and hopefully you will find the information that you are seeking. As the 2011-12 CALBO President, I am committed to finding ways to improve our organization while still helping our members and industry colleagues to weather the economic storm. As an organization of local governments, we are all facing hard times. However as a collective organization, I am confident that we will all come out of these hard times a little stronger than we were just a few years ago.

CALBO is nearing its 50th anniversary, which is a very exciting time for us all. As we celebrate a semi-century of existence, I am humbled as I look back upon the great accomplishments that we have made as an organization. However, there has never been a greater time to look back upon such accomplishments with pride and build upon them as we move forward. As this year’s President, I hope to lead the organization into the next semi-century of leadership and strategically move CALBO forward into an even more progressive organization. I hope that you will be a part of this effort and will support us through service on a policy committee, attending the 50th Anniversary Annual Business Meeting in Los Angeles, or by taking CALBO classes at an Education Week or Independent Offering in your area.

I am a "CALBO junkie" and you will undoubtedly see me at most CALBO events. Please don’t hesitate to stop me and share your thoughts as to how we can continue to grow our organization together.
