About CTI

Dear Fellow Building Department Colleague:

Welcome to the CALBO Training Institute (CTI) webpage. As the educational arm of California Building Officials, we held over 100 classes and train thousands of individuals each year. In these tough economic times we are doing all that we can to keep cost down in order to bring you the training you and your staff need at a reasonable cost. CTI has been able to keep its tuition price at the same rate for the last four years.

This year we will focus the majority of our training on the new requirements coming out for 2011. In the second half of the year we expect to have classes ready and scheduled on the new California Green Building Code, Residential Sprinklers, and the new California Residential Code. These classes along with all the usual California Code updates will be brought to you during our Education Weeks in Northern and Southern California, as well as, our many independent offerings. We also expect to expand our webinar offerings to help keep cost down and get training to those who do not have a budget to travel.

Our goal is to be your first thought when you need training. We also want to work with all our local chapters to help facilitate local training needs in anyway we can. Our instructors are experts in the field of Code Enforcement, Building Construction, and Design. These individuals love to share their knowledge and expertise with students and we are grateful for their service to CALBO.
