This webinar provides an overview of the electric readiness requirements for residential buildings under the 2025 Energy Code, which went into effect on January 1, 2026. Topics discussed include changes to the heat pump water heater-readiness requirements, as well as requirements for electrical infrastructure when gas appliances will be installed for cooking, space heating, and clothes drying. Information is provided on forms and compliance software along with 2025 Energy Code resources. Building officials, architects, engineers, energy consultants, plans examiners, field inspectors, and counter technicians are encouraged to attend.
