In recognition of Building Safety Month 2026, apply for the 2026-27 Building Officials Leadership Academy (BOLA), taking place May 4-8, in Sacramento.
If you’re ready to grow as a leader in the building safety profession, BOLA offers executive-level training and networking with peers from across California. This Academy features five days of in-person leadership training in Sacramento plus three elective courses at CALBO Education Weeks (North or South). Graduates will be recognized at a future CALBO Education Week to celebrate their accomplishments and growth as building safety leaders.

Step 3. Complete the Fillable PDF Application Form on page 8
Step 4. Email the two completed PDF forms, your PDF resume, and a PDF statement of interest in ONE PDF document to lherman@calbo.org.

Step 5. Applicants will be notified after the deadline. The Academy is limited to 21 students.*
