Description: Energy storage systems and other interconnected power sources, such as Photovoltaic Systems, require system and equipment disconnecting means. There can also be additional emergency shutdown rules that are specific to the power source. The 2022 California Electrical Code (CEC) revised and simplified the disconnect requirements for energy storage systems. Are you aware of the changes? In this webinar, we will review basic disconnecting means concepts and the application to battery energy storage systems under the simplified language of the 2022 CEC. The discussions provide insight for all who are involved with approval of the design and/or installation of battery energy storage systems.
