This webinar highlights the approved mid-cycle amendments to Chapters 11B and 11A of the 2022 California Building Code (CBC) and the 2022 California Plumbing Code that go into effect July 1, 2024. Attendees learn how definitions have changed along with what sections have been updated. Questions are encouraged to spark discussion about the adoption and application of these changes. Specifically within the plumbing code, access changes related to fixture count and the all-gender toilet rooms will be discussed. Building officials, accessibility plan reviewers, accessibility inspectors, designers, architects, and contractors are encouraged to attend. Understanding how these amendments differ from the current requirements before each goes into effect is vital in applying all field and plan check duties.
