This webinar explains how the CAL FIRE Land Use Planning Program assists local authorities in wildfire hazard mitigation for new developments and sub-divisions. An introduction to the NFPA Firewise USA program is presented and discusses the NFPA Firewise USA program, California Fire Hazard Severity Zones as well as the Fire Safe Regulations that apply to all development in the State Responsibility Area and Very High Fire Hazard Zone Local Responsibility Areas. Building, Planning, and Enforcement professionals interested in learning more about land use planning and wildfire mitigation are encouraged to attend.
