What to Expect from your In-Person Attendance?

Here are some details to help you understand what to expect from your in-person attendance.

We have worked hard with local city, county, and state officials to ensure a safe and responsible experience for you. We can assure you that we will follow all governmental guidelines and mandates and are in full compliance with current health regulations.

  • Registration - Registration is currently open. Please check www.calbo.org for a complete program and course schedule. Registrations will be accepted until each venue deadline. Please note that these are firm deadlines – no exceptions can be made.

  • Health Questionnaire - Each attendee will receive a health questionnaire that must be submitted to CALBO prior to their arrival onsite at the hotel. To ensure the safety of all, an attendee’s badge will be held until their questionnaire is submitted with their signature. No exceptions can be made.

  • 48 hours before each Course - Along with the health questionnaire, each attendee will receive a personalized link 48 hours before each course to download instructional materials. Printed materials will not be provided to attendees. Tablets, laptops, and personal electronic devices are highly encouraged. Internet will be available during the program sessions and courses.

  • The Day of each Course - Attendees may arrive at the hotel venue any time after 7:00am each day. Masks will be required for everyone for the entire duration at the hotel. Please consult the conference program for the daily schedule and CALBO Registration Booth hours.

  • Venue Guidelines - We have all become accustomed to government-imposed health and safety guidelines, which will be strictly followed. The hotel will provide hand-sanitizer throughout the property for easy access, and masks will be required for everyone at all times.

  • Program Sessions and Classrooms - All attendees will be asked to select a seat for each program session and classroom each day, which will follow social distancing guidelines away from others. Once a seat is selected, please plan to stay in that seat throughout sessions and/or course for that day.

  • Breaks - There will be plenty of breaks to ensure your ability to stretch, regain focus, and network with your peers. Please consult your program for the daily break times.

  • Meals - All full-day course (and two (2) half-day course) registrants receive morning and afternoon refreshments along with lunch. Registrants who attend one (1) half-day course receive morning or afternoon refreshments, not lunch.  Please keep in mind that Education Week meal service and options will be based on local health guidelines at the time of the event.

  • Course Attendance Certificate - Each attendee will receive a certificate of course completion electronically, which is also printable, within 48 hours of each course. Each course is approved by the ICC Preferred Provider Program and most courses are approved by American Institute for Architects. Please check the CALBO website for specific course information. For six-hour courses, .6 CEUs will be granted. Attendees must be present for the entire duration of the course to receive credit.

  • Evaluations - Every attendee will receive a link to complete an online course and instructor evaluation to ensure that the CALBO Education Week has met your expectations.

  • Parking - All attendees will receive complimentary day parking. Those who wish to stay overnight in the hotel will be required to pay overnight parking charges at that venue.

  • Hotel Reservations - Read up-to-date hotel room block and reservation information on the CALBO Education Week webpage: www.calbo.org/calbo-education-weeks-registration.

  • May I attend virtually? Yes! CALBO is offering a fully virtual CALBO Education Week: San Ramon, but not Ontario. The virtual option is a live broadcast of all program sessions and courses from San Ramon.
