From the Desk of Shane Diller, CALBO President

E-mail blast

Dear Friend of CABLO,

It goes without saying that 2020 has left its mark on us all… CALBO included. As the first months of 2021 come to a close, I can say with hope that the end of this pandemic is on the horizon. Businesses and restaurants are re-opening and life as we once knew is slowly coming back.  This includes, and please understand my enthusiasm, CALBO events! The CALBO Board of Directors, CTI Commission, and CALBO team have been busy preparing for our next hybrid event – the 2021 Summer Conference and Mini-Education Week. From Sunday, May 16 - Friday, May 21, join us as we celebrate our professional successes, examine hot industry topics, and earn valuable continuing education credit.

Identical to our December Education Week, CALBO is offering both in-person and virtual attendance options. We will start the week with topical industry information and then switch to three valuable days of training for your continuing education needs.

Attend in-person or virtual CEU approved courses covering these topics and much more:
– Accessory Dwelling Units
– Accessibility Topics
– Safety Assessment Program
– Wildfire Mitigation
– Building Code Topics

So without haste, check out the CALBO website, register for an in-person or virtual day pass (or five), and spread the word that CALBO and CTI training continues to thrive. Whether you can rub elbows with us in-person or wave at us through your screen, I look forward to this time to share our stories, lessons learned and celebrate the perseverance of our members. Please join me this May in Newport Beach.

Best Regards,

Shane Diller, M.P.A.
