During Building Safety Month 2026, consider applying for the 2026-27 Building Officials Leadership Academy (BOLA) will take place May 4-8, 2026, in Sacramento.

BOLA equips seasoned public safety professionals and aspiring leaders in California’s building departments with executive-level training and networking opportunities. The program includes five educational days in Sacramento plus three elective courses at CALBO Education Weeks (North or South). Graduates will be honored at a following CALBO Education Week.

Step 3. Complete the Fillable PDF Application Form on page 8

Step 4. Email the two completed PDF forms, your PDF resume, and a PDF statement of interest in ONE PDF document.

Step 5. Applicants will be notified after the deadline by Friday, March 20, 2026. The Academy is limited to 21 students.*
