What to Expect from your Virtual Attendance?

CALBO has invested in production resources to live stream courses from Burlingame and Costa Mesa. Courses are taught live with an additional subject matter expert in the classroom to work with all virtual attendees in real-time. To make the most of your experience, please read the information below.

• Registration Deadlines - Burlingame Registration Deadline is Thursday, September 19 at 5:00pm sharp, no exceptions. Costa Mesa Registration Deadline is Thursday, October 17 at 5:00pm sharp, no exceptions

• One Week Before Each Course - Please download the GoToWebinar application on an electronic device, such as a laptop, desktop or tablet. Without this application, courses cannot be watched by a virtual attendee. Each attendee must log into their GoToWebinar classroom with their personalized join link and watch the course(s) for credit. Get familiar with GTW with this information.

• Two Days Before Each Course - Each attendee is emailed a personalized GoToWebinar join link 48 hours before each course. Audio and visual can be accessed with the link. These links are unique to each attendee and may NOT be shared with others. Unique links are also emailed to each attendee to download course materials as well. Please download and save the materials as the links expire after each course concludes.

• Day of Each Course - Each attendee should use their personalized GoToWebinar join link to enter their online classroom on the course day after 7:30am. Courses start at 8:00am. Audio and visual can be accessed with this link. Please consult the conference program for daily schedule and break times. IMPORTANT: Virtual attendees must log into their online classroom using their personalized GoToWebinar join link to WATCH the entire course to receive credit. Logging out of a virtual classroom or calling into a webinar without using a link to watch the course disqualifies an attendee from earning CEUs. An attendance certificate will not be issued.

• Breaks – Two ten-minute breaks are offered in the morning at 9:00am and 10:15am along with two ten-minute breaks in the afternoon at 1:15pm and 2:30pm. A full hour break is given for lunch from 11:15am – 12:15pm. These timelines are strictly followed in each classroom. IMPORTANT: If attending virtually, please do not log out during the breaks.

• Attendance Certificate - Each attendee is emailed their attendance certificate, which is also printable, within 48 hours of each course. All courses are approved by the ICC Preferred Provider Program and most courses are approved by The American Institute of Architects. For six-hour courses, 0.6 CEUs is granted. Attendees must log into their virtual classroom with their personalized GoToWebinar join link and watch the course for the entire duration to receive credit.

• Evaluations - Each attendee is emailed an online course and instructor evaluation after each course concludes to provide feedback about their learning experience.

• Cancellations - Written notification of cancellation must be received by info@calbo.org no later than one week before the start of the event for a refund, minus a 25% processing fee. Any cancellations after this date are non-refundable, and the registrant is responsible for full payment. No-shows are NOT refunded.

• Transfers - Registrations may be transferred to another individual or another 2024 Education Week if the written request is received by info@calbo.org no later than one week before the start of the event. Registration transfers or changes after this date or onsite registrations at the venue are NOT accepted. Attendance changes from in-person to virtual or virtual to in-person after this date are NOT accepted. All transfer requests or registration changes are NOT guaranteed. Please contact the CALBO Office as soon as possible regarding all registration changes.
