Just like building departments across the state, CALBO has adapted to the COVID-19 pandemic to best serve all California communities. Most notably, we have focused on how best to improve our online training platform.

For the first time, CALBO is offering the ability to attend Education Week courses virtually from December 14-17, 2020 allowing you to earn CEUs from your home or office.

We’ve streamlined the process to ensure the best user experience that will not disappoint.

Why register for the Virtual Education Week from December 14-17, 2020? Here are the highlights!

Professional Online Platform
CALBO has invested in production resources to ensure your virtual education week experience is second to none. Each course will be broadcasted live on the GoToWebinar platform, so you can watch any course from your home or office to earn needed CEUs.

Expert Instructors to Answer Your Questions
Along with our skilled and knowledgeable instructors teaching each course, there will also be additional subject matter experts working with online students to answer all questions in real time.

New and Improved Courses
Twenty-one courses will be offered covering new, topical subject matter, including accessibility, accessory dwelling units, solar photovoltaic systems, plumbing and mechanical inspections, tenant improvements and advanced overview for permit technicians. Take advantage of our eleven new courses!

Pre-Scheduled Breaks to Stretch and Regain Focus
​CALBO Virtual Education Week will include plenty of breaks throughout the day to ensure your ability to leave your computer, stretch and regain focus. Predetermined breaks include 2 ten-minute breaks in the morning and afternoon as well as a full hour lunch break.

Receive Materials and Classroom Access with Ease
For each course, you will be emailed a personalized link to enter your virtual classroom on your training day and download instructional materials that can be saved to your desktop or printed.

Emailed Attendance Certificates
Shortly after the completion of each course, you will be emailed an electronic copy of your course attendance certificate. This will allow you to save your certificate to your desktop for safe keeping or print a copy for your files.

Online Course Evaluations
A course evaluation link will be emailed to you following each course to ensure that the CALBO Virtual Education Week has met your expectations.
